I just caught her rummaging desperately through the trash in search of butts. Having found one, she lovingly dusted it free of coffee grounds, chicken giblets and other stuff to gross to list, lit it up and smoked it.

Not trying to quit, but having no money for cigs at a couple of points in my life, I'd collect butts off the street, from ashtrays, etc., then scrape the remaining bits of tobacco out of them into a little pile, get my pack of rolling papers, and roll me up a skinny. . . .
