I read the thread, and frankly Jupiter, you do not come out sounding any better than your foe. That editing job you did (with the appropriately childish heading Ok, well suck on this one JHolley...) was ridiculously petty. If you were attempting to make JH look foolish, you failed.

Your editing was inconsequential, and would not have improved that bit of writing. Your semicolon suggestion was incorrect, and sentence fragments (your biggest complaint) are perfectly fine to use in informal, conversational writing.

This was my own personal opinion, and the fact that Jason is a friend of mine had no bearing on it. Thanks for the honest label, but my point was that the byplay was petty and ridiculous. That's why I chose the phrase, "pissing contest."

Mustang's right. These posts are informal and not held to quite the same standards as something more formal, like a dissertation or even a story (with the exception of correct spelling, which is always necessary).

Um, that should be "him and me" not "he and I." Also, whatsoever is one word. Moreover (also one word), I was supporting HSWriter's new position and, although he didn't ask, I was defending him. Yeah, yeah. Mind my own business. We covered that.

I love when someone comes along, spouting righteousness and can't even spell. I may be blamed for starting a lot of shit around here (and that really doesn't bother me) but one thing you'll never hear me accused of is poor spelling, grammar and mechanics.

I apologise again WhisperSecret for missleading you even though it was a sin of omission.

Then would our editors care to point out the same facts to JHolley67?

The editors who do such a good job on the story side of this site could I am sure find his writing in need of a little help too by correctly editing those sections I highlighted.

You made me smile when I saw you playing him at his own game, and that helped take a little of the heat out of some of the slashes he had deliberately delivered.
