Piss Drinking

Looking at the postings that have made your total what it now stands at, I'm gonna pass on answering this one.

You better use a spell check for your story , BB or it will be rejected.

Why not drink your own piss? Mine tastes like a light Asti Spumante.

I second that motion.

I imagine my piss tastes like Cointreau - bitter but a little zesty.

Well ballbuster, if you were any kind of researcher you'd take a nice big glass into the toilet and fill it up, do a little taste-testing of your own.

Honey

Well this pissing thread just runs and runs, donnit?

I have tasted piss. It tasted like Heineken. Only warmer.

Getting warmer

*pours BB a glass of freshly produced yellow stuff*

Imagine mine tastes mostly of cider...

mmm.. yep... vinegary cider, but it does

PS Have tried Heineken, it tasted of Piss.

(old musty piss at that!)

Logically speaking, it probably tastes exactly like it smells. Like piss. What a question to ask anyway, and in such genteel company at that. Did you grow up in a barn without parents, or what?

Well I've drunk a lot of stuff, heh heh but I draw the line at piss.

On the other hand, my ex bf draws the line in piss when there's snow on the ground. Neat trick.

I can only do it by hopping sideways like a goddam ninja, and it comes out wavy.

He can even write his whole name, after a few beers. Makes me sometimes wish I was a guy. That's probably all dicks are good for. And catching in zippers. That might be kinda fun to try.

sarcastic thread or what?

okay, in my experience piss tastes pretty acidic and disgusting. The less water the person has drunk, the more urea they will have in their piss. This makes it taste harsher, and is why it helps if you want to get pissy, to drink lots of fluids. If you consume lots of water, that's basically what's going to come out the other end.

Hi dirty,

//the more urea they will have in their piss. This makes it taste harsher, //

Actually urea has a bland taste.** It's other chemicals that give the odd ('harsh') taste, and there's a touch of ammonia in the smell. Your foods flavor and color your urine.

J.

Added 2-14: I cannot remember where I read this, but I cannot now document it; several sources, on the contrary, say that, at least in high concentrations, urea is bitter. So perhaps it's the case that there's normally not enough in urine to make it bitter.

yeah, I was just trying to sound smart, don't really know what I'm talking about...I just guessed urea/ammonia would taste bad, seeing as it smells bad :(

I'm writting a story that fetures piss drinking.

Has anybody here sampled piss drinking? I always imagine it will taste like lemon juice, but that's probably because of its color.

Also what is its appeal to people here who have sampled piss drinking?

BB.

As per most here. Simple. You want to know. Try your own. *shakes her head slowly, and walks off*

my suggestion is that you read some stories about it- try looking up 'golden showers' 'piss play' 'piss drinking' and 'water sports'

Also, for a less sarcastic reply, I suggest hopping over to the BDSM board were they probably won't even be shocked. In fact, they will probably say something like, "We've discussed this on several threads here" and then give you links.

Good luck.

ps, the idea about tasting your own is not such a bad one. Rather than peeing in a cup or something that would probably just gross you out, pee on your fingers or something, that way you just have a little bit of the taste to satisfy your curiosity. I'll give you a hint- the appeal of the act in a sexual situation is not in the taste:devil:

I kind of avoided this thread, but I decided I would just put this out there. The substance that gives urine it's unique smell and taste, as well as it's name is Uric acid. It's very acidic and I believe it is one of the group of alkaloids called keytones, thus the smell similar to Amonia. It's also very posionious, which is why your body gets rid of it.

It isn't like snake venom in it's toxicitiy, but you can die from drinking it, especially if you are already dehydrated. Many allied prisoners of war did just that while being transfered from the Phillipines to the home islands by the Japanes in WWII aboard "hell ships".

More trivia thanhelp with the question as I have never been the slightest bit curious.

Okay, I aVoided this too, but urine isn't poisonous. There's a lot of stuff in urine, including urea, uric acid, billirubin (a substance produced in the liver that gives urine its yellow color), as well as all sorts of metabolic junk like ketone bodies from fat metabolism, cell casts, and other biotrash.

There's no ammonia in urine. Ammonia is very alkaline, alkaline enough to damage human tissue. The ammonia comes from bacteria who love urea and break it down into ammonia after it stands for a little while. Fish, who don't have to store urine in their bodies as mammals do, secrete their nitrogenous waste directly into the water as ammonia. Baby birds in eggs, who can't secrete anything, store their nitrogenous wastes in some other innocuous form (which I forget) until they can hatch, and then their metabolism changes. I believe that birds, like amphibians, secrete urine and feces in the same package and from the same orifice, but I'm not absolutely sure about that.

Unless you have an infection, urine is sterile: there's no live bacteria in it, so the old practice of weashing wounds in urine isn't as dumb as it sounds.

Neither uric acid nor urea is especially toxic when ingested at the doses you'd get from drinking a liter of urine. In fact, a former prime minister of India used to drink a cup of his own urine every morning as part of an Ayurvedic medicine regimen, and he lived to a ripe old age. The only problem with piss-drinking when done under life-and-death circumstances, is that urine has a very high salt content, so you'd might as well drink sea water. It has a dehydrating effect.

You might like to know that the amino acid Aspartine was first isolated from the urine of people who had eaten asparagus. I'm not sure whether this is the compound that gives asparagus-pee it's unique odor though. That seems to be a mercaptan or thiol ether, the same class of compounds that give skunks their odor. Mercaptans contain sulfur and are the stinkiest class of compounds known.

Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Colly.

Wish I could have given you something nicer than a bunch of inmformation on urine though. :D

Holy Smokes, doc, didn't know you were well-grounded in the sciences (I'm not).

Congrats!

Yeah. Pharmaceutical chemist. I was originally an English major, but I developed such doubts about my writing that I went through a 20-year spell of being unable to put two words down on a page without thinking they were crap. I gave up writing and went into chemistry. It's only since I've been taking anti-depressants that I've been able to start writing again.

And Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Pure.
