I'm posting this thread to officially kick of the "Pink Orchid 2025: Story Event for Women-Centric Erotica"

Stories are to be posted in February, and the story list will be published on the International Women's Day, March 8th of 2025.

Theme of the event: sex positivity and women as the subjects of their own lives. Women in control of their own pleasure and passion. Erotic tales where women make sense and have agency. The aim is not to turn tables and write femdom, male-bashing or revenge stories, but produce sex positive stories of women existing for their own sake and living, loving and lusting on their own terms.

This event is open for absolutely everyone. Stories are not limited by anything other than Literotica's standard rules - you can write in any category.

Rules:
1. Write a story in which a female character has agency and makes sense on her own terms.
2. Include text "PINK ORCHID" in the Note to Admin-field
3. Post your story in February 2025

That's it! Now go forth and write! If you have any comments, questions or ideas, post on this thread.

Obs! Since this is a writer's challenge and not a competition, stories can also be submitted to any and all competitions and other events with overlapping submission times. I will update this post to include links to them as they are announced. If you want to take part in other events, make sure to comply to limitations set by them, for example in competitions one has to enter a standalone story and not a chapter of ongoing series. Traditionally, Valentine's Day contest and the 750 challenge have had overlapping schedules.

I will update this post to include relevant links when available.

Links to previous years' support threads: 2024, 2023, 2022

Also made a list of all the stories throughout the years.

For anyone concerned if your story idea is applicable: I'm not an authority but I do host the event, so if you're interested in my opinion, you can ask me to beta read your entry. Any category or length or subject matter will do. I'm not squeamish. I reserve the right to decline but I'll try to do as many as humanly possible, so please ask early.

In 2022 I read all the entries and left comments, and because I am apparently too rude for that, I will now let people opt in. So if you do want me to read and comment your event story, tell me, and I will. Otherwise I might not and will keep at least all the non-praising comments to myself :D

For anyone that feels "write women that make sense" is too broad an ask, I present the optional sub-quest: female empowerment. It was a subject that got a bunch of people's knickers in a knot the first year of Pink Orchids, so it should not be too easy a topic.

Three months to come up with a new idea...

Just the other day when I was finishing my latest story (A Quiet Woman) I thought about saving it for Pink Orchid. It would have been a good fit, I think, even as a voyeur story. In the end I decided I couldn't wait that long. Premature publication, if you will.

I did pretty much exactly the same thing. I don't have anything stocked up. I really hope I'll get a flush of inspiration in time, it would be embarrassing not to have something in my own event :D

I'll admit to panicking quite a bit when WIWAW came around, and then again with Pandemonium. Apparently performance anxiety extends to writing as well. :)

Make sure you give yourself time, and immerse yourself in supportive environment. It is the best way of dealing with elucubration dysfunction.

Looking forward to it! I kicked myself last year that I only found out about the event after I'd submitted as basically all of my stories fit the brief. I'm sure I'll have something to include: it might even end up being my final story.

Looking through my WIP folder, I have probably half a dozen stories that would fit. Of course, they're all in my WIP folder because they've stalled. Maybe now I'll be motivated to finish at least one of them.

My muse has buggered off for a while, but hopefully will pop in at some point before March - I have a bunch of ideas which would fit.

I'm going to try to get my done this time!

I realize I have said this before . . .

It's a good story idea and a great departure from what I've written before.

I wrote a lesbian story for this last year, but I don't believe that is a requirement.

I have a wonderful, confident female character I would like to use in a romantic story

Yay! Years go by so fast, you see. Final story sounds pretty dramatic though 😳

I can promise you whipping or declining whipping, whichever works better.

With kinky British scientists? Please say there’ll be kinky British scientists!!!

Suddenly, a feeling of deja vu 🤔
One of these years you’ll nail it! I believe in you.

I might have a story for this

Yay!

Really like this one...will do my best to get one in...

Yay!

Yay!

I’m in and thanks.

Welcome!

yummy, I've a story tucked away that is possibly perfect for this...
time to dust it off and revisit it.

Yay!

Ah, who knows what will bite me? I'm hoping to get a good idea soon.

Me too! Welcome to join if and when you do.

I am thrilled to be seeing this now!! I can not wait for this story event. Goodness my brain is running in SO many directions.

Yay! Welcome!

Masochist: "Whip me!"
Sadist: "No."

Would a story about a succubus qualify for Pink Orchid? If she fights her demonic nature, only to realise that, demon or not, she just likes sex?

That sounds like a great idea.

I'm working on an incubus story for the holiday contest. Incubi and Christmas -- a natural combination.

Absolutely! No discriminating against different species of fantasy creatures. One year we had a mermaid, and she was delightful.

In case people are curious of the previous years’ entries, there’s tag search of course but in addition to that I made a list.
