One night, long ago, I turned to a new bedfriend, as our blood pressure dropped a bit closer to normal, with the intent of telling her how exciting it had been. That movie was one of the few English language films available to under 18s on my voyage from the UK to Australia on a Dutch ship in 1960. I saw it too many times, once sitting alone in the ship's cinema.

For a genuinely serious example of pillow talk, my girlfriend (now wife) once asked me, whilst we were basking in the afterglow, what I wanted to do with my life. At the time, I was eighteen, and I really didn't have a clue aside from a pipe dream of wanting to act for a living. So, I told her that, thinking it would be the end of it. I should have known better.

My wife is many things, and two of which are amazing, and insane. At the time this incident took place, we were living in Japan (basically due to one of her whims) and I let slip that I had a cousin, who I'd acted with in the past, working with a theatre company in America who might be able to get me a job. From that day, she encouraged me (read: berated, in a kind-hearted sort of way) to move out there with her to give it a shot.

Jump forward three and a half years, and I have a stable (ish) gig writing/acting, and though I'm not exactly making millions out of it, I'm happy with my work. It's weird and occasionally scary, financially speaking, but I love it.

I guess the moral here is not to dismiss pillow talk. It can change your life, sometimes

The last guy I was with...still with...kind of...he tends to talk about some of the things that are stressing him out. I'm glad that I can be a de-stressor for a day but he will squeeze my side or something cute but then start talking about something else that bogs him down. It usually only lasts a couple of minutes before he will start to talk about something he's excited about.

Everybody needs ...

some recent pillow talk I had went like this:

Me: "I love hearing you talk about your Mistress like that!"

Him: "Thank you, Sir Stella."

It's true, too. The boy was soooo happy and in love. It makes me really happy to hear words of love and connection between people. I asked him to choose one of my wooden toys as a gift to bring back for her.

... that sort compasson, now and then ... Stella you are truly a lover of mankind... think about it Stell.. a gift that keeps on giving. I'd like to have one of those myself to remember you by.
