Hi. There's a woman I've known
for three months who has become
a dear sweet friend of mine.
She said she's going to get her hair done next week, that I should
go with her, as she'll treat me
to get my ear pierced. She remarked it
would look cool on me.
I want to take her up on it, and
now I think about it, I think it would be hot to get my
nipples pierced too.
Did anybody else recently decide to get
piercings done for the first time?
I don't know why I didn't consider them before.
It would be a total change for me.

Getting your ears -pierced is no big deal relatively, it basically is painless and is pretty easy.

On the other hand nipple piercings are not that easy and they aren't painless and take more then a bit of care and will take a while to heal. They are hot (to me anyway) but they aren't something you should jump into, talk to a body piercer about how it is done and so forth, and then if you still want to do it, give it a shot. Not saying don't do it, just know what it is about before doing it.

I want to get my nipples pierced in the worst way, my Dom has given me the OK to do it, I just worry about losing sensitivity. I can almost reach an orgasm from nipple stimulation alone and I always have a nipple in my mouth when I rub one out, or at least I did before my Dom banished me from she-bop island
:( I would love to hear from women that have been pierced if the lost sensitivity.

I had my nipple pierced long ago and took it out. My body rejects piercings - I spent the better part of my childhood trying to get earrings to "take" with every kind of metal and still at age 39 can't wear earrings for more than 2 days straight. My nipple piercing never healed properly and in frustration after a year I took it out.

But...I lost no sensitivity, which I worried about as I have very sensitive nipples as well. Absolutely no difference, and that's even with the infections (sorry, gross, but it's pertinent).

Good luck and sorry you've been banished from she-bop island...

I had mine done in my teens, apart from the initial needle pain, healed quickly and relatively pain free and increased sensitivity ;)

I'm guessing that reatcction to gold or platinum is fairly rare. Did you try titanium? And yes, I miss she-bop island more than you can imagine and coming to this site only makes things worse:eek:.

She-bop island - HA! Love it.

I got my nose pierced almost 2 years ago. I had been vaguely considering it for a little bit, but one day decided to just go for it. And I haven't regretted it at all! I know it's not quite the same as nipples (sensitivity, etc.) but I have a friend who has her nipples pierced and she didn't have any complaints. Worth doing a little research and asking around, but you're probably ok. Do you have any other piercings? I've thought about getting my nipples done too, but not sure if I want to go there yet.

What stops me is the healing time. I couldn't have my boobies off limits for 6-9 months. I love boobie/nipple torture too much!

--------------

Well I went in yesterday and got
my left ear lobe pierced. Quite the
thing to do for this newbie.lol.
I gave up on the idea of nipple
piercings though, just too heavy
for me. Maybe I can eventually work my way
into it more.

Nipple piercings made mine QUITE a bit more sensitive. I'm an avid fan of them.

Just because it is totally irrelevant to the discussion, the Roman legionaires often got their nipples pierced as a sign of virility:)

My wife and I discussing her getting her nipples pierced. We have two concerns.

Her ears are sensitive and will only take gold earrings, will we have an issue finding a suitable material.

And second, realistically, how long will they be off limits, not totally healed, but how long before I can give them a tug or a nibble?

Titanium is generally regarded as the material least likely to cause allergic reactions and/or rejection.

Nipples are difficult piercings for many people. A lucky few are able to heal them without incident, and then tolerate fairly vigorous play. For others, the healing period is long, and the slightest perturbation sets the healing process back. In addition, some women experience irritation of the piercngs during their periods.

I hung in there for about two years, and finally threw in the towel. Things like backpacks and rifle slings just caused too much misery.

Addressing the op of this old thread: I would no more let a hairdresser pierce me than I would let my piercer cut my hair.

Been thinking of having mine done as they are very sensitive but again worried about loss of sensation (thanks to above posters but more, more, more on this so have re-assurance and a good sample) plus never thought off limits for 6-9 months! Surely that is wrong?

Twister has much good advice. I will add my two cents: If you are afraid of an allergic reaction, I would just get some of the clip-style nipple jewelry. It isn't actually a "piercing," but it is a nice body decoration. :D Reactions to nipple jewelry include itching. It is usually not socially acceptable to scratch your nipples in public.

As far as healing? One of my nipples literally took YEARS to heal properly. No, that isn't normal! But it is finally at a point where it doesn't bother me anymore. It can take a couple of months, or, like me, years. Every body is different.

I have never had any sensitivity issues with my nipple piercings. And believe me, 6-9 months would have been great.

From a male perspective. Having my nipples pierced is wonderful. I have small nipples so the piercings make it easier for my girl friend/partner to play with them. It takes time to heal, but mine were available for play after a few months of healing. I did multiple salt water soaks daily. A shot glass with warm salt water speeds up healing time. I never did manage to soak both of them at one time. It can be very painful to gauge up. So have an idea of how thick you want to piercings. My biggest issues was to stop gauging up. :)
