i didnt go through all the posts but thought id let yannow.

had nipples pierced. LOVED IT! wasnt all that painful..just a quick pinch *i was slightly disappointed as i have a thing for pain* anyway, as i was saying, before i so rudely interrupted myself...
had piercings and later that day went swimming... yes, im stupid... six months later, after 5 needle biopsies and a surgery i am now one cup size smaller than i was before... infection that went really deep turned into cysts that had to be surgically removed.
if i werent afraid of losing my breasts completely i would do it again... i loved the feel...i loved playing with the rings and having them played with. i wouldnt mind having my clit hood done but... but...but...what would i do without my button should something go wrong?!

I have a friend who had a clitty hood ring and the skin ripped one night during sex. Would have thought that was enough to put her off for life, but as soon as it healed up she got it pierced again...

Mat, if it helps any, I've got 3 tats & the one on my wrist hurt the least. It was cake compared to the other two. I was afraid it would hurt more for the same reason your son gave you, but it didn't. It wasn't bad at all.

Course, it's only on the outside of my wrist not all the way around, but I've got bony wrists.



Oh, and to answer Imp - Tongue. Love it. Hurt like hell and was swollen for weeks (far longer than they said it would be), but it's been years and I still play with it constantly.

Eeek. I don't like that horror story game about the piercings.
I wanted to get my tongue done, but I'm a wimp, so I never will. lol.
But, I do have my ears pierced 5 times each, plus two extra in the cartlidge of my left ear.
I just keep little "diamond" starter studs in all of them, except my first hole.
I wear earrings that cooridinate with my outfit in that one, lol.

I'm done with my self-mutilation stage though.
And I'd never get a tat. That wouldn't be fun. At all. I hate pain, hehe.

I really hate to tell you this, but most reputable tattoo places won't touch you if you've been drinking. When I got my very first one about 23 years ago, it didn't matter (I was wasted), but now they really look closely at your state of mind....the good places, anyway.

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt that much, I promise. I have four, and although they did hurt, they weren't all that bad. The pic I posted of the butterfly is on my lower back (it's my newest), and I actually dozed off while the guy was doing it .

We are all supposed to perpetuate the myth that it hurts like hell! Didn't you get that talk? Or don't they do that anymore? (My "newest" tat is ten years old, and yes, I was drunk. and happy.)

only time i broke out in a sweat was when the guy did over my sternum... otherwise, its a cake walk. well, then again, i like pain so maybe my receptors are a bit screwy... i fell asleep on serveral occasions.

I had my ears pierced 29 years ago, and had a rough time with them for many months until I figured out that I was allergic to the starter earrings. Switched to gold, and I've never had a problem since.

I must be getting a little weird in my old age, I drove 140 miles (round trip) 8 days ago to have my nipples pierced by a reputable piercer. I chose rings instead of studs, they are very easy to clean because they can be rotated 90+ degrees in either direction to make sure they are completely clean. I do sea salt soaks 3 times daily, and use a liquid castille soap supplied by the business that did the piercing.

The piercing process... It did hurt like hell while the piercing was being done (about 45 seconds total for each piercing and subsequent placement of the rings) yet there was just a small amount of pain for about 2 minutes afterwards. That was it, I was surprised that it wasn't much worse.

I love the rings, they're feminine and graceful. Best tip the piercer gave me... wear a cotton sports bra for support and to help keep the rings from being bumped by accident.
