Pierced cats?

I think people who own dogs (not to be confused with dog people) are even dumber than people who own horses (not to be confused with horse people).
People who own exotic pets are the worst.

Snakes, birds, reptiles. A chimpanzee, for christ's sake.

What the hell is the matter with people? Either they're too stupid to contemplate what life must be like for those animals in captivity, or they just don't give a fuck.

So the humane removal by clean shot of a wolf individual who's a potential threat in some manner versus running them down in planes till their hearts rupture cause it's some twisted fuck's idea of fun is the kinda thing you mean.

I don't think meat can be done in a way completely devoid of cruelty, because snuffing out the life of something so I can have more protein than I need isn't exactly just or cool for said animal. But the amount of suffering and the amount of misery can be limited. But it doesn't mean I need to embrace Wilbur my breakfast bacon to be as I would a friends' potbellied pet.

Resulting things tend to taste better anyway.

Fishing for sport gives me the willies, frankly. I'm always glad whatever I had on the line shook itself off, because I have a huge "and THEN WHAT?" fear. I don't like the idea of putting hooks through the face of something that may be 10 years old for fun. Shooting bambi troubles me less, personally.

Have you ever talked to a fish? It might be great fun to be caught and released. Caught and eaten is another story. But I only eat trout. And the state dumps a million a year for that purpose. It's a plentiful and renewable resource.

1,200,000 deers in Georgia. A little over a forth of them are harvested a year. I don't have a problem with it. It's probably a healthy thing for the population. Nature has her own way of dealing with overpopulation.

I think my brother in law is a asshole though. He kills anything that walks. Lions, Tigers, you name it and he has a head somewhere in storage. If you are going to kill it and grill it, that's one thing. Of course he loves dogs so he would never kill a wolf.

What broke my heart was learning that a lot of the beautiful horses that finish out of the money in the Derby and such are sold to processors in Mexico and fed to people in France. Any horse who is put through so much deserves a happy retirement somewhere even if she or he was slow.

A matter of the Almighty Dollar. :(

A lot of racehorses find their way to non-racing homes, though. Several well-known jumpers were once racehorses. Many others go on to become not-so-well-known jumpers, LOL. Or other horsey-sports-related competitors. :)

I can't imagine having a giant sudden facial piercing when you think you're about to get a snack could be that grand a time, it just seems kind of clear.

*Eating* trout I'm in favor of. Always. Mmmm. Especially smoked.

I also can't eat lobster or crab, though, those little eyes on stalks looking back at you just get me. I have weird fish hangups.

That's amazing, it just seems like when so much money and time has gone in it'd be unthinkable to just ditch them.

I do think I remember reading about the fate of most racehorses in South America and it's not a pretty thing. Money is the bottom line.

When it happens to human prizefighters we get a good tragic book out of it.
