Piecemeal rejection hypothetical

These recent thread about stories being rejected have me wondering something.

Does anyone know what Laurel's policy is about rejecting parts of a multi chapter story? If I have a completed story broken up into three chapters, and I submit all of those at once, I know she'll review and then schedule them for publication on her schedule. If one of those chapters were to get rejected for some reason, does anyone know if she would hold off scheduling the other two and wait for the resubmission? Or would she publish what was acceptable even if that meant the whole story wasn't available?

Obviously, this is more of an issue if the problematic chapter is #2 than if it's #3, but it's something I've been wondering about.

Anyone have any ideas?

If she notices it. Even if you submit them back to back, they're probably not going to appear that way in the queue.

That's why it's honestly the best policy to wait until a chapter posts before submitting the next one. Or, take advantage of the new drafts function, and have everything sitting there, ready to move to pending with a press of a couple of buttons.

Several things can go wrong in the posting of chapters in a series. That's why, as RR suggests, I always wait for the previous chapter to post before submitting the next one.

With the amount of time vs stories she has to work with, she's not going to notice your next part is also in the system so 3 would post regardless of 2's rejection.

I think if they're all submitted together, she's still going to review sequentially and probably approve them as she goes through the chapters - and set the release clock running for each one (the default seems to be 24 hours apart).

If she then bumps Chapter 3, say, you're going to see that and can immediately pull back Chaps 4, 5, and 6. There's always the lag between approval (or rejection) and go live, so if you think (or find out) that your content is suspect you're always going to have time to react.

This actually happened to me with my first two submissions, and they posted in the correct order. My first chapter was rejected because I had used incorrect HTML tags, but the second chapter was accepted later the same night. I hurried to make the necessary corrections to the first chapter and re-submitted it, and the second chapter was held until the first was approved.
