seems I've somehow lost the ability to post a pic on my profile and I cant figure out how to make that happen. Any suggestions?

Could be wrong but I think you need 100 posts.

ok, thanks, however I was able to put it up and take it down at will prior to this.

You can post an AV after having 100 posts. Sometimes, there is a glitch in the system that allows you to post one before 100, but that's just a fluke.

If it's your profile pic (you have to open the profile) it might be that you've hosted on an external site and they took it down. That happens quite a bit, particularly with photobuckets.

This also happened to me, and I've heard from a few other new folks here as well with the same problem. Mine was up there fine for about a week, then gone, and I have no option to put it back. Not sure what's happening, but you are not alone!

There was a temporary glitch that allowed people with under 100 posts to create an avatar.

I think that when Laurel fixed it, she also made it so you couldn't have a profile pic either (but I'm not sure if this was on purpose or not).

In any case, if you get into a conversation or join in on a few threads, 100 posts will go pretty fast.
