I don't remember the exact wording of the statement, but, "feedback" on this particular matter might not have ever been actively sought.

It might have just been received passively by the site owner, sent proactively by people who like to complain about idiotic stuff like SURPRISE nudity on an adult website.

It might also have come from the site owner's counsel (attorneys) and not from actual site users at all. I don't blame them for trying to get out ahead of what the American Taliban Party are likely to be able to enact.
