Photography thread...

I love natural light for photos when possible. With animals in particular as I am not going to risk damaging their eyes or spooking them with the inbuilt flash. Flash photography can look great if you have enough money for an external flash and if even luckier, some lighting equipment...but alas, so far we don't have that cash to spare. LOL, not to mention if I started on those things, I would want more like I do with cameras, lens, and filters.

I'm kinda annoyed right now that I don't have access to most of my archive of pictures or any photo software on my laptop atm. Although having less photos to choose from is probably a good thing. So these are really not the best of what I've taken, just some of the good ones I have access to right this second.

I have no idea why I have the courage to be posting my own photos on here right at this moment, but here I go.

I have no clue which beach this was taken at, but it might have been Wanganui.

I tend to take tons of pictures of flowers. This is by no means my best when it comes to plants.

The only editing that has been done to any of them is resizing (which was just from the photobucket album, heh) I love photography but know very little about it. (Um, have a basic grasp on shutter speed/aperture. That's about it.) Maybe someday I'll get to study it and make money out of it. Right now I'll have to settle for taking pretty pictures.

I'm completely awed by some of the other pictures in this thread though. I don't really have the words for it

The shots of your shopping center reminded me of some of the ones from Scotland. I cant believe that trip was a year ago.

This was my favorite sight in Scotland. I was told by our pal Nick that it's a plant called "Coarse". It's like an evergreen and a prickly bush and forsythia had a wild night and made a really weird lovechild

A boat floating on Loch Ness as seen from a window in the Castle Urqhart... amd yes, that's a smattering of Coarse on the hillside

Wow - just checked in here. Some fabulous stuff. I love all of the nature and travel photos, but I must admit a special weakness for the stuff you posted AP. I kind of like gritty pics. Awesome.

Homburg - I love the purple choker with the lock! Fabulous.
