Beautiful Cat! Did you take those?

Thanks...yep, they are mine. I am finally finding a little time to experiment with my newer camera though I use both. Yesterday's shoot of the mortar and pestle was fun and took about 2 hours and 200+ photos.

Thanks Kendra and sinnOcent...and love the horse Yang4yin... roses from the local supermarket come in handy when I am not up to venturing out too far to take pics. I also fiddled with the original coloured one of my daughter, but I like the other one better....some others like the colour one better...oh, and I also joined a group which is about using photos to fit a dictionary meaning which is fun.

Nice assymetrical dishevelment there. Very suitable thing to do when using rope and wrecked clothing together.

I want to get better colour out of my shots. What can I do? Less flash maybe? Less harsh lighting? These are perforce indoor shots, so I can't really use natural lighting.

All my shots are without flash, indoor or not...I am not a fan of flash photography and prefer the subtle tones of natural light. It is possible if you have a reasonable light source and fiddle around with aperture and shutter speeds to get the result you want....a;so you can fiddle with it in post processing to bring up colour etc., if needed.
