LOL, yes, it takes awhile to learn all those handy little features. Must admit I still have not made enough time to explore this as much as I would like...got some tips from a friend of F's who has owned a Canon G5 for awhile so that saved a bit of reading up and allowed for some minimal experimentation for now.

Catalina :rose:

For now I just point and click and hope for the best :)
It's not my camera but I'm thinking about learning more when I buy a good one for myself (the one I have know is crap).

Took this picture today on my balcony. That is hail you see, very strange weather here.

M wisdom I think thats a really interesting picture. I don't exactly know why but it made me feel quite in awe of mother nature (not your photgraphy skills, oh no :p )

Graceanne I really wish my holiday snaps turned out like yours, mostly mine are out of focus or have a finger in front of them. I loved number 2 best of all.

All in all some great photos on this thread.

These were taken at Fort Klatsup. It's a replica of the Fort that Lewis and Clark built and spent the winter at. The original got burned down, but their were sketches of what it looked like, so someone or the other built a replica. It's actually pretty cool.

Cool pics m wisdom, Shy Guy (have visited your site before and love the pics) and babiesmiles....I've been playing today, though not near as much as I would like...haven't even had time to do any reworking on them, but am happy with the raw product...time is my enemy. :( I LOVE this camera.

Polarisation filter

Just got a new fun toy for the camera. Ok, it's nothing special but it's my first so :p
It's a polarisation filter and it really does great things for colors and contrast. I love it :)

Oh I can relate.....I have had that and a whole lot of others for about 25 years now for my film cameras......waiting to get the connection ring which will allow me to use them on my G6. All but the polarisation filter are from the Cokin system which allows you to leave the ring on the camera and just change the slide in filters....and use 3-4 at a time. :cattail: I love the star filters and the diffusion ones. I can only imagine the fun I will have with a digital and filters. Great pics.

LOL, the one who used to see me as competition for our Master's affections....lot to be said for the advice to keep your enemies close, she no longer is jealous and only too willing to share him with me as long as she can stare into his eyes lovingly and with pure devotion....though as you can see in the second pic, she does from time to time give me a look which seems meant to remind who was his first!! Alpha subs....phoooey!! :catroar:

Those are very nice. The first one almost looks like a painting. There's a street bearing my family's name in a small town east of Palermo. I've always wanted to go there and get my pic taken next to that street sign.
