Ohh sorry, I'll try to remember that the next time I'll be in Ma. :nana:

To say we saw saw incredible skies today, not to mention ancient ruins from Roman times, would be an understatement....just a taste of what we are doing until I get back to my own PC where I can resize etc in a flash.

Well we are home and I am finally getting organised and have at least transferred my pics onto my computer where I can manage them better. LOL, as much as I hate litter, it was amusing to find this little arrangement in the snow by the side of the road in Germany...not to mention it looked perfect for a photo...and then there was the surrounding scenery to enjoy for a short break, and which just kept coming as we travelled on. Must say I learned so much on this journey, perhaps more than any other trip in my lifetime...I also was reminded of how lucky I am to have the quality of life/living I have.

Some of my favourite sculptures in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria which dates back to 7th Century BCE and is the second oldest European city. There are so many things to photograph there, in all seasons, I am hoping I will be going back, especially once the fountains are refilled and the flowers blooming. The Statue Of Sofia which is in this group is 24 metres high in the city centre. This is one city I could see dolf and shy slave going wild in as not only does it have great food, lingerie, and fashion, but nearly every second shop is a shoe store with multitudes of boots and heels to drool for...and all are ultra cheap as are most things in Bulgaria. :D

I thought of you often while I was there. The prices were so low on just about everything I didn't venture inside shops for fear of maxing out the credit card...for example, good women's shoes and boots could be found as low as about 20 Euro, some less, some more. The food was unbelieveable...apart from being mouth watering and so much it often filled a 10-12 inch wide plate to overflowing, it usually only cost around 6-10 Euro for a 2-3 course dinner with drinks, and once again often cheaper. We are still trying to figure out how they do it.

LOL, we also found a restaurant to keep F's colleague happy....lots of young waitresses with unbelieveable bodies and gorgeous looks, dressed in tight black dresses that resembled torn off jungle 'Jane' outfits to go with the tropical jungle theme. We took him there before we left and watched him with amusement as his mouth kept dropping open and his eyes busy trying to keep up with which one to follow...and then of course there were plenty of young women of exceptional beauty coming in for dinner or coffee so he had a happy grin from ear to ear all night and managed to get the name and work times of one waitress before the night was over, and gave her one of the biggest tips he ever has in history. :catroar:

More pics....first is Sveta Petka church which though presently situated in a subway in Sofia, dates back to the 14th century. The rest are of St George which is near the St Petka church, and is from the 4th Century and was part of Serdica. There are also remains of a 2nd Century street and surrounding ruins, and inside the church itself are frescoes dating from the 10th Century...unfortunately, in all the churches and mosques, photos were not allowed as they had postcards etc....only problem was the quality of the printing was not the same as a photo and crosses my mind to offer to pay the price of their books to be allowed to take a couple of pics of my own.

The captured light on St Nikolai's church (pic 3) is stunning

LOL, I invested in an adaptor for the Canon G6 while in Oz and can now use my old filters from SLR days again...of course I have a long list of new filters I want to add, but they will have to wait. I liked the effect on this one though.

Had some fun tonight with the model cat....bit grainy and shadowy at times due to the fact I don't like using the flash on her, but got some nice mood and action shots. :catroar:

And I did finally get a semi-decent pic of her camera shy partner in crime..would you believe earlier in the week this shy cat actually covered her face with her paws to avoid letting me take her pic?!! Of course Marcella is the opposite and loves the camera pointed in her direction anytime. :cathappy:

Wow, I have to stretch my budget just to buy a $140 leather coat for going clubbing.

WOW... brilliant photos all... I cannot photograph worth anything... I shake like hell... unless it is on a tripod my pics are usually blurry... unless the subject sits VERY still the pics here are of my pets... I am allergic to furry animals & am terrified of dogs.
be warned they are snakes & scorpions..

Tank was my scorpion,
Beedy is my florida Kingsnake,
Digger is my western Hognose
The 2 balls (Ball/Royal Pythons) are Beauti & Gripper...
