Semen on a paper print photographs as white but on a back lit screen it can look like a brownish-white stain instead. It's the difference between reflected light and transmitted light and the translucence of cum. If it were opaque the transmitted light would be blocked and it would look creamy.

I tried a different camera angle instead of straight on but that only distorted the shape of the picture. I tried additional light from above but that did not overcome or wash out the transmitted light. It still looks like a brownish stain.

Then I brought the light down to a very low angle, almost at the level of the edge of the screen. Wow! Lighting the droplets from the side makes them pop, looking like droplets. It turns them a transparent white, and makes them sparkle. The result is much more satisfying. Photographically, that is. The other satisfaction came earlier.

So, if that's your thing, and you don't like how unphotogenic your seed looks on screen, try adding some sidelight and see if that gives a better result.
