Phil followed Laurie up the stairs to the studio, carrying two tall iced teas, the glasses already sweating a bit. He set them on a side table, and watched as she took in the new arrangements. Then she settled on the bench.
"Laurie I have decided to try a different approach. Natural light, and I will use slow shutter speeds with slow ASA setting in the camera. I am trying to get that look of a Victorian photo - you know the ones Dodgson took. The models all look a bit stiff and un-natural and I think it was the long poses they held. So when you do a pose try to hold as still as possible without blinking until you hear the shutter open and close. OK?"
With that he shot a series of her sitting demurely on the bench. The soft natural light really played well on her young features. Her skin was so smooth, and the soft light accentuated that perfectly. He wondered if she would consent to some outdoor shots sometime. There was a naturalness about her that was very attractive.
"OK, now show me what you meant when you said you wanted to do a sequence." He swallowed once, hoping he knew what she had meant.
