What is a good size to post my photos at I triyed to post one but it was to big need to resize IM new at this .
Thanks

As attachments, they need to be under 102400 bytes in total size, and (i think) no larger than 640x480 in pixel size, it may be 600x800, don't remember for sure.

Go here and get irfanview to help you with resizing your pics: Irfanview Tutorial

cyberski almost got it right on the size limitations for attachments:

An Image must be smaller than 800wx600h in pixels. 640x480 is fine, 480x640 is not -- it's over 600 pixels tall in that orientation.

To simplify the process.

1: Download irfanview from www.irfanview.com or one of it's mirrors. (it's free, easy to use, and isn't a resource hog like many image editors are.)

2: Set the default JPeg compression at 50-60% (medium quality)

3: Open the picture and resize by setting the largest dimension to 600 or less -- save it under a new name in JPeg format to preserve the original.

4: Attach the image to a post.

There are very few images that those steps won't produce an attachable version of acceptable quality.

If you're having problems with adding an avatar, the only difference is the pixel limits are 150x150 so change "600" in step 3 for "150."

For future reference the limits for images at Lit are:

Attachments: Less than 102400 bytes (exactly 100KB,) 800 pixels wide, and 600 pixels tall.

Avatars: Less than 20480 bytes (Exactly 20KB,) 150pixels wide, and 150 pixels tall.

IMG tags: A valid IMAGE URL that is not hotlink protected, does not require a password or login to view, and is accessible to Literotica's servers at all times.

A "Valid Image URL" ends in the file type for an image format that the Forum software recognises -- i.e. ".JPG", ".GIF", ".BMP" -- and does NOT include any script calls (.PHP, .CGI, or the like), but DOES include the "HTTP://" portion of the URL.

You CANNOT use the IMG tags with HTML pages, Scripts that display images, Yahoo Photo albums that have your session ID appended to the URL, or an image on your local harddrive.
