This idea popped into my head.
Man doesn't realize it, but his stay at home wife is earning a bit of extra money as a phone sex operator. A side benefit is that their sex life is starting to flag and so she finds it kind of fulfilling. One day, he calls up her line. He doesn't recognize her (she doesn't use her regular voice but rather uses a "sexy" voice). She recognizes him but doesn't say so. He's kind of embarassed and explains it's his first time. He doesn't provide more details but his wife realizes that he too is starting to find their sex life frustrating.
Anyhow, she doesn't tell him she's his wife but proceeds to have phone sex with him. He is quite impressed she somehow understands what he wants so well, but it's his first time with a phone sex operator so he doesn't realize that it's abnormal. He doesn't suspect a thing, though the voice sounds vaguely familiar. At least, not until the end when the call is over. She says, "Goodbye, ____ . ", even though he didn't tell her his name. Initially he is really worried she knows him and will tell his wife but on the way home (he called from his cell during his lunch break at work) he realizes the voice sounded familiar because it was his wife's voice.
I suppose the ending could be them having real sex and talking dirty to one another like was done on the phone.
