If it's a new relationship, then yeah... don't go within 100 miles of something like that.

I'm thinking this is a pretty solid relationship, however, so as uncouth as it may have been, he may have been either expressing concern or not-so-subtly suggesting that you need to take better care of yourself, get more sleep, whatever.

But I don't know him... I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt or look at things from other perspectives... It's quite possible he was just being an ass.
