Yes. He did. He also did The Minority Report short story which also became a movie.

I love Dick. He is the single best writer of dystopias and he has a wonderful cynicism.

Will someone please read "The Unconsoled" so I'll know one other person who's read it, and I can find out if it's universally disturbing/funny/brilliant or if it's just me. It's not sci-fi but the sci-fi fans here are the most likely to appreciate it.

I've been waiting eight years for a chance to talk about that book with a reader whose first comment won't be, "I started to buy it, but it was too thick." I read your dirty stories. For free! It's the least you people can do.
