The [70s-style Progressive] Left amazes me.

I have witnessed in my lifetime their rise to power in our urban areas. The first thing they did was to attack their tax base causing it to flee, when I was a kid in KC, it was called white flight. What the white Liberals did was basically to tell conservatives to pay up and shut the fuck up and everyone with the ability left...



Then the Liberals erected the structures and programs that were going to elevate the minorities, while at the same time employing the soft bigotry of low expectation and telling their constituency that their poverty was the result of white privilege, even after the whites left. They enacted measures and programs which could no longer be paid for. What tax income they still had went to their voting constituencies in order to preserve their power and dominance.

Now, as they stew in their utopias, their focus is not on what they did wrong, their focus is on assessing the blame on those who they denigrated and tried to destroy in the name of equality. Instead, the problem is that there is still some conservatives out there. THOSE conservatives believe in the Constitution! THOSE conservatives believe in the Second Amendment. THOSE conservatives must be stripped of their centuries old culture in order to make urban sanctuary cities safe from violence. THOSE conservatives must be silenced and even driven from this country.

Never once will a Liberal look at what his philosophy has wrought and admit that their efforts produced the exact opposite of what they dream of, instead they have to have a bad guy. THOSE conservatives ...

They've never even considered Occam's Razor and the laws of unintended consequences.

One look at Chicago tells the whole story. A shrinking tax base with disastrous unfunded liabilities has the city headed for financial disaster. They've run out of other people's money. Unless the federal government bails them out like they did for Puerto Rico, one day the till will be empty. Somebody won't be paid.

The only way to cover them is to raise taxes on those who decided not to leave (probably because they were generationally invested or because they were successful and progressive) and now have the choice, diminish yourself to a level below the white-collar union workers, or relocate.

Here's a kid who got shot while handcuffed... the cop caught his gun on the mirror and thought the suspect was grabbing for it, so the officer put his gun to the suspects head and it mis-fired, he then pulled the trigger again, blowing the kids brains out.
