See I only trust in their greed.....you give them their bottom line in the positive they will dance for you. Stay on the up and up and it's 110% "Yes sir!" and "Right this way sir." and the only reason is b/c they want your money. Otherwise they don't give a fuck about you and given the chance they will take everything from you, leave you destitute, piss on your head and tell you it's raining while they laugh all the way to the bank.

Besides government is run by the worst of the corporations.

The only thing the government successfully accomplishes is spend money, and even that isn't allocated efficiently, the accounting controls suck and they pay far too much for everything.

That's the bottom line right there...

Anyway, Lincoln had to deal with an emergency situation faced by no POTUS before or since, and you got to make allowances. Give him props just for allowing the 1864 election to go forward -- he probably could have gotten away with suspending it, the situation being an unprecedented crisis, but the thought apparently never crossed his mind.
