As far as the Pope, I met a Catholic priest years ago that told us priest have no business giving married couples advice whatsoever concerning relationships, having children or raising children. The Pope has never raised a child, he's probably inseminated many women though.

Europe is fucked up, the natality has dropped even further since covid, and older folks are living longer.
How are the young going to pay for the pensions of twice as many old folks, without sacrificing their quality of life?

Some Eastern Europe countries and Australia Have tried to solve it by paying people to have kids. But what they ended up having is the beginning of a descent into Idiocracy, in which mostly low IQ people started having more than 3 kids, as a means of making money.

The problem is, this Pope has no tact or understanding of psychology.
You don't incentify young people by guilt-tripping or shaming them, you explain to them that 'careers' are bullshit slavery, investing in a family to love you back is far more qorthwhile.

Note on those claiming children are too costly, statistically (at least in the US) you’re more likely to have more offspring and to have them earlier when you’re poor. People who can “afford” to have children tend to have fewer and wait longer before doing so.

I do agree though. Overpopulation is the main environmental issue facing the planet and those who make a practice of celibacy and childlessness should mind their own business.
