Pets at Christmas

Good grief!

Dear Tat,
Poor Billy. I'm embarrassed for him. Cute, though.

Speaking of pets for Christmas, I'll bet there is many a man hoping to hear a "baaaa" from under the tree, come Xmas morning.

Living in the depths of the Portuguese countryside as we did when our daughter was around 3, she became rather attached to the goat.

Grandma was raising the goat for Xmas lunch.

Ever Xmas we have to endure tales of our cruelty over the fate of the goat, her story of how it was butchered in a satanic ritual under a star lit sky have become wilder and wilder.

She still has the rug made from its hide and puts her now grown up feet on it every morning, that is when she is not round at the boyfriends.

Thanks. Yeah, it doesn't do his hard-man image much good. :D

Here's a sheep on a tree, bit small, but it might suit some. ;)

That's not in the spirit of Christmas. :p

Anyway, isn't 'goat' a bit tough. Not like nice, juicy, tender, succulent lamb. I equate goat with mutton, but having never tasted it I wouldn't know. I've seen what they eat.

It was a young goat, a kid bred specially for Christmas, only ate the best. Marinate in red wine, cloves of garlic, bay leaves...

It is still very popular here for Christmas.

Lambs. Cute, fluffy, furry little things with huge eyes. Love to bounce around and utter cute little sounds like "meeeeeeh" and "maaaaaaah".
Taste great with a touch of rosemary.

Thanks PS

My biggest laugh since we tied up Lauren last night.
