Petition to NOT ban nude pics from literotica

Please read the below thread where the site are proposing to stop naked images being published. If you would like to have a voice toward keeping (appropriate) nude pics flowing on the best website please add a message to this thread. Personally I joined to read stories, then submitted some of my own, but I do enjoy flicking through some of the readers nude images and illustrated stories

Removing nudity? What?! This IS an adult, erotica website. What Lit is preparing to do is antithetical to what this site represents, IMO. I noticed that recently the Passion thread in the LGBTQ section was eliminated because of explicit sexual content. Really?! I guess the next thing would be to eliminate all sexual content from our writings and only accept fairy tales! Ridiculous!!

I hope that it is because of a server space issue and not prudery. In one of the threads I spend a bit of time in, and post quite a bit, we haven't been able to post pics directly for about a year or so. However, we can post links. I was told it was a server storage space issue. I wish they would clarify the issue

If people don't want to accidentally have someone see nudes over their shoulder, as the OP that this thread is referencing suggests, then...don't. Just...don't. Don't go to an erotica site while people are watching. If you can't help yourself, pay attention to your surroundings, or turn off images in your browser.

While I can appreciate the desire for Lit's creators to stay true to it's literal roots, nude images are also a fundamental part of the site experience. If server space is an issue, then enforce the policy of nude images posted only on links to other sites. If the issue is with people browsing Lit in public and worrying about others around them seeing the content, then I would advise being aware of one's surroundings before visiting a website with nude or pornographic images. But in my mind there's no need to restrict nude imagery altogether.

Please don't take this away from us. Put up a banner, there will be nudity after this point and be done with it... please!

Also as a fix you could implement a toggle for displaying NSFW images much like reddit does, so wheb enabled the imaged are obscured by a blur that leaves it unrecognizable until its clicked on.

Last time I looked this was a site for erotica. While my own pictures in Forum do not contain nudes (usually) it seems absurd to ban them. If people here are, as they have to be, over 18, they can manage with a nude or two.
