Dear Literotica Management and Users,
I hereby petition for the section "Sci-Fi & Fantasy" to be split up into two separate sections.
In the history of fiction there are these quite established genres which each follow more or less clearly defined rules. (Apart from certain cross-overs of course). In my opinion there is no benefit in throwing these two together, especially on a site that even has a distinct category for anal-sex!
To the contrary I find myself often lost: When I search for Sci-Fi themed stories, for example in the Top List System I have to content with dozens and dozens of Werewolf and Vampire, Elves and Ogre stories, which, as good as they might be, have absolutely nothing to do with Science Fiction.
I get that it might be hard now to split those up, because the stories that are already posted there can not simply be reorganized. But maybe we can create two distinct new categories for stories, posted from here-on out and maybe even give authors the chance to reevaluate their older stories.
I just think we have a problem here on Literotica with these categories not being specific enough to serve their purpose well. This situation is even exacerbated by the Non-Human and Novellas categories which each "hide" their share of good Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy Stories.
From an authors perspective its probably not even that bad because the author can sort their story in the category he thinks fits best. But from a readers perspective it is just terrible. e.g. I am searching for a story that has Space Travel in it. I don't care if it is romantic, has non-humans or anal-sex in it. Put the way it is now I have to search for this Story in 5+ different categories, because it might be hidden anywhere.
THAT just is NOT the purpose of a Sorting System.
And in my opinion it really needs to be fixed.
Thanks
P.S. English is not my native language. I hope you can understand me anyway.
