Well, he's having help. I've only seen bits and pieces of the testimony today, but the open session is giving the Democrats a chance to actually level Gowdy and company on the issue of what they're letting Trump and his administration do--and what they are failing to pick up in Judiciary Committee area business.

The greatest lines were the ones on a claimed election bias toward Hillary: When did the FBI release an unsupported announcement on an investigation into Clinton? Eleven days before the election. How long did you know about a criminal investigation in the Trump campaign that has led to convictions? Oh, over a year before the election. And you didn't release anything to the public on that investigation? No. And that shows bias to who in the election? ? ? ?

But the really great part of these hearings isn't Strzok's testimony (he's hardly a hero). It the public chance it's giving the Democratic representatives to just level the Republicans to the ground in television-worthy beatings over their treasonous behavior.

Peter Strzok was one of only a handful of people who knew about the investigation into the Trump campaign as early as July 2016.

If all he wanted to do was destroy Trump, then why didn't he leak that to the press or otherwise get the info out there? If it came out that Trump and Manafort were possibly in cahooots with Putin, don't you think that would have seriously hurt his campaign?

So why didn't he? He had a very very good opportunity to show his "bias" and potentially put a stop to Trump. He didn't.
