Anyone has listen to it yet?

10 years... since the last album of Peter Gabriel. Today, in the USA, the new album "UP" is out and also very good. This album is very awesome, we find some nice similarities to Melt et Security but with a twist of technological modernism. Layers and layers of rhythm... acoustic and synth instruments melting together in luxurious melodies.

"Passion" and "us" lover wont be desapointed either, you could found those atmospheric arabic sounds.

Peter describes the album as "'bookends' record, looking more at the beginning and the end of life than the middle." It is also
said that Peter has "taken the full reins of production."

Thumbs way way UP!

The tour in on too... am sure dont want to miss that!

Some venues are already on sale.... I will post the tour date later.

"UP"
The Musicians
Peter Gabriel: Vocals/Keyboards/Guitar

And more....

I love Peter Gabriel - I didn't know he had a new album out - I definitely have to get it.

Would be great to see the tour too!

Oh and Tony Levin is incredible... I saw him with Gabriel back in the late 70's - seen him several times with King Crimson as well.

Damn I'll be in DC too soon to see him. Already been to Atlanta...

NYC Nov 21 is possible.

Because uh... its Montreal - not easy for me to get up there - though I bet it would be a ball! *grin*

I heard one of the new songs on the radio tonight. I don't know the name though, so I really don't have anything intelligent to say here :)

However,

I do love Peter Gabriel, but while it was a nice song, it didn't knock me out as being a great song. I'd like to hear the whole album though, I'm sure there's some good stuff in there.

Hi Soblue, you probably heard "The Barry Williams Show".... the rest of the album is not like this... but each songs has is own style... I havent stop playing it today, I really love it!!!

they always says that Montreal is too far!

Damn!! he's skipping the entire Northwest.

I think my favorite song on the album so far is, "Burn you up, burn you down"

I heard most of it...at first listen there is nothing outstanding about it. It will probably take thru the 3rd listen before realizing what an album it is.

There won't be any 'hits' from this...which is fine for us original Gabriel fans.
