Yay...it worked. I didn't preview it Laurel, so it looks like that is the problem.
My dogs enjoying the freshly tilled soil of my garden plot....it's cooler there...smart doggies!
Emma is the yellow lab and she is 1 1/2. I got her from a guy at work that breeds purebred labs, but her mom stepped on her head when she was a pup, and she has nerve damage in her face. My friend couldn't sell her, so he gave her to me. She was also born without a left ear canal and everything that goes with it. Her ear looks normal, but it just dead ends inside. So with the nerve damage that causes her right eye to be perpetually 1/3 closed and no right ear, I've got a half-deaf, half blind lab! You would never know it though...aside from not hearing me when I talk to her in a low voice and missing the ball half the time when I throw it, she acts perfectly normal..very full of energy. She is the sweetest dog in the world...
Patti is about 3 and came from the pound. She was very timid when I got her. I try to be very patient with her, and she is finally starting to relax a bit and act like a normal dog. She is smart as hell though, and regularly kicks Emma's ass when she thinks I'm not looking...

Ya know, before this thread, I thought I was the only freak here who had lots of animals (3 cats and a dog)! I'm embarrassed to tell people that, and I just KNOW that when I'm 85 and alone, I'm gonna be known at "that weird cat lady who lives down the street"!

This is my favorite thread too! I love all animals, and this just makes me so happy.

Oh and there is a mandatory issue of pet pictures by all pet/camera owners, so know that we know you have a puppy, you'll be burnt at the stake, if you don't do it.
Today, I walked out into my garden and a new "friend" had come to visit. One of the neighbors cats, I hadn't met yet, just waltzed up and decided he liked my garden best, and spent the whole day laying around while I did my planting. He is definately not stray, cause he didn't want the food I offered him and he was totally unafraid of my dog, who wanted to toss him around. Actually, this brave little guy would duck amongst the plants and then run out at the dog, as he would go by, and chase him, untill the tables turned, and then he went right back into the plants.
It was nice to have a kitty out there. It's so cute when they jump and play.
I don't let mine out, because two of my most precious were killed by cars, on the road, behind our woody creek. The cats are just drawn back there because of all of the fun things kitties like, but they get to chasing something and end up in the road to much to risk it. I just can't bear the thought......

Thanks! That pic was taken when she was about 18 months old. I think her fur has more ticking in it now- it takes awhile for Abyssinian coats to mature to their final colors. Up close, it really looks like rabbit fur with different shades on each strand.Angel said:
