This should be a way of nicely putting some etiquette concepts out here for everyone. I know I'm still learning and I'm sure others are too!

I'll start - I hate one line PMs from someone I don't know that just say "I want to fuck you". My response is, "too bad the feeling isn't mutual". Isn't it polite to at least say hi first?

The shite we women go through on this site can sometimes be short of atrocious. I can't believe the way that some of these "boys" talk, that they must not have had a female role model in their lives or perhaps they were removed from their mothers' breast too soon or something. There are certain criteria for me to even open a PM .. if the person has no/low posts and has been here for years, or their post count is low and they have a cock pic in their profile, I delete without even opening. Could be the nicest guy in the world, but I'd never know it because they refuse to interact with me on a base human level and want to instead pretend like I was put on this board for them to jack off to.

My sympahties lie with you, SexyRed .. good thread, maybe some one will learn something from it.

To that, I can not attest as I have yet to ever send a male a PM asking him to fuck right out of the blue, or even one I've interacted with in the threads. .. But I'm sure that they can.

I would be willing to bet my eye teeth that the scale definitely tips the way SexyRed describes, however.

Hmm! Hopefully the regular ladies of lit know who the good guys are.

Can't say I have ever sent one of those PM's but would suspect it is akin to the tactic of asking every woman you meet in the street if they want a shag on the basis that eventually someone will say yes.

I didn't realise it was such a problem and sympathise but you can always send a pm back saying Fuck you jerk and block them??

I used to respond, full of venom, but it didn't make me feel any better. I found that just not responding makes me feel better than anything.

Yes, it's a little annoying to post right on top of somebody else, especially if you're both responding to the previous poster in an ABC thread or something. Ah well, I guess it can't be helped.

I don't agree that it can't be helped. When I post and the next page comes up, I check to see if anybody posted between who I intended to post with and myself, if so, I adjust. I always thought that that was chat board etiquette. I guess not everybody does that, or maybe they just don't care. *shrugs*

Also, when I'm posting on a thread, I look to see if the people also posting are in a flirty lil conversation or not, if nobody has posted in 5 mins, I go ahead and post, otherwise, I find me a diff thread

I hate when I get skipped over in a thread.... But then again I never checked to see if a conversation is in full swing I gotta check more often
