Pet Peeves

(I'm going to be a repeater here, lol.)

I hate people who are oblivious.

Sometimes being in a store just makes me want to bomb the place.
What is so hard about 'pulling over' with your cart? Why really do you have to block three aisles?
Why do people have to mill about aimlessly? Move bitch, get out the way! :)
And I agree 100% on people behind you in line. Last week, there was a guy that was so freakin close to me, his breath was fanning my hair. I shit you not. So I stepped forward, and he did too. Back up! Jesus! If I can stretch my arm out and touch you, you're way to f'ing close.
Unless I like you. Then you can stand closer, lol. ;)

I also hate people who think their time is more important than mine.
And people who act like I owe them something.

Hmmm.... that about covers it for now. :)

'The more people I meet, the more I like my dog.' :)

Also, it makes me furious when people are standing around at the store, blocking the whole aisle with their cart. Then, it always seems that when I walk up, they are still just standing there, staring at some product and completely ignoring me. If I say something, they always give me a really indignant look. People have such a sense of entitlement, they probably think I'm in their way!

That is a pet peeve of mine as well, so much so that I always try to do my shopping early Sunday mornings so that I don't have to deal with inconsiderate shoppers. I get furious when shoppers don't put their cart back in the cart return. It amazes me that people can lurk around Walmart for hours on end but can't walk a few feet to put their cart in the cart return.

People who decide to talk on their cell phones during a doctor's appointment, it's just plain disrepsectful to the doctor.

(I'm really anal about this) I don't care for people who are (habitually) late. I understand if you're late because a train held you up or if there was a wreck and you had to find an alternate route, but if you are supposed to be in a certain place at 10:00, don't leave your house at 9:50.

People who don't control their unruly children in public settings.

Now I'm not one of those "all men must hold the door open for me" type of women but I do think it's a nice gesture, and it just sends an uncomfortable pang up my back when they clearly see that i'm trying to enter or exit a building and not even entertain the idea of holding the door.

People, particularly teenagers, who are too aware of their rights and have no concept of duty, responsibility or consideration for others.

People who will accuse others of imaginary offences to avoid taking responsibility for their own offensive actions.

Alcohol retailers who know they are breaking the law selling to kids but salve their consciences by charging the kids more than the retail price.

All of these fit me. I can't understand parents who let their kids scream and grab and kick in the store every time they drag them along. Plan the shopping trips when someone else can watch the kids.

Each time I see a shopping cart sitting in the parking spaces, I think how angry some of those people would be if one hit their vehicle. The same people who can't walk a few feet/yards to put it away.

Along with that are the people who cut through parking lots. It only takes a few seconds longer to follow the arrows. They are always the ones who glare when someone is in their way, driving where they belong.

I am the one who is always early. Being late is inexcusable to me, unless as mentioned there is a reason such as an accident, etc. Are these people late for work too?

Things like jay-walking, or waiting for the traffic signal to cross at the corner . . . I see parents with kids doing this all the time. All it does is teach kids it's okay not to obey the laws.

(If these are repeats, sorry--I haven't read all the way through yet.)

I'm with you Three Goat Pig. I hate having my personal space invaded. It's creepy. A subset of this group are tattoo and pregnant belly touchers. Not nice. I also dislike people who stare at you for long than a minute or visually follow you to the point of turning around. Yes, I am freaky looking and you can take a look at me, but fuck a duck, when I leave your field of view that's it and if I am that fucking interesting you need to have a real good look, take a picture!
Word! I worked in a hotel when I was pregnant and couldn't tell you how many people(men and women alike, young and old) who came up and touched my belly. I realize it's a marvel of nature, that a human being can walk around like that without falling over and/or exploding, but, FUCK, have some manners! The tattoo touching is stupid as well. Just the other night, I was out with a very tattooed friend, who also happens to be just gorgeous and some drunk frat boy tried to grope her. Some peoples' children, I swear.

Oddly enough, when I was pregnant, no one ever even tried to touch my belly. I guess I put out definite "touch me and die" vibes.

People who ask me and question and don't listen to me answer. Save your breath. Save mine.

Maybe it was because it was my job to be cheerful and approachable...uh, completely unlike how I am in reality, LOL.

I had no belly at all when I was pregnant, so it wasn't a problem for me, but a close friend of mine was endlessly harassed and it was just rude.

Regarding the tattoos. I feel sympathy for your friend. I was standing, holding hands with my hubby, looking in a store window when some fucktard came up and grabbed my breast in order to move it to get a better look at my tattoo. I mean WHAT THE FUCK?! Do have have a sign that says "inappropriate touching welcomed here" written somewhere on me? No I don't.

People who put friends/loved ones on hold when their call waiting informs them they have another call. WTF? Rude Rude Rude. Let your god-damn voice mail pick it up...that's what it is there for.

I hate hate hate call-interruptus!

Retail clerks that stop helping you to help somebody that interrupts by phone. Grrr.

:cattail:

Yes! Or if they're talking on the phone the entire time they wait on you. Or if they're having a personal conversation with another employee.
