What pet names or endearments have you or your SO's (past and present) had for each other that you really liked, and which ones have really made you cringe?

Darlin' - not "darling", just darlin', and if you say it in that husky bedroom voice, you could make me do just about anything for you.

Darling - too precious. Makes me feel like I should be wearing pearls and drinking with my little finger sticking out.

Sweetie - nice, cute, non-threatening, I'll take it

Hon - (see "sweetie")

Honey - a little too cutsy (unless it's me saying it to you in a pouty babyvoice when I want something...but that's what cutsy was meant for)

Babe - (see "sweetie")

Babydoll - too cutsy

Princess - not unless we're roleplaying and you're the black prince about to ravish me

Baby - okay, but it's almost too cutsy and I know you say it when you want something, I'd prefer "babe" though I may on occasion call YOU "baby"

Dear - thanks grandpa

Precious - I'm gagging

Doll - are we in a gangster movie?

Sweetness - cute, we like it

Boobs - um no

Kitty - fine, but only if you make me purr first

That's about all the names or endearments that my SO's have called me, I think. Can't think of anymore right now.

I call him ducky sometimes to be a pain since that is what he was called when he was a little kid. or say tarzan if you want to see him turn red.

usually just call her baby girl, Angel baby, or Giggles cause i can make her laugh alot

used to call her kiddo

she liked it even tho it made her sound young

and was always my little princess

When I think of someone with alot of fondness, I usually end up calling them Sweet-tart.

Sometimes I call my boyfriend Nick-a-poo. He doesn't like that very much.

hubby is polarbear, I am his babyseal.<kinda funny, but then so are we>

course there is my sugahduck
my schmoopie, whom I also call Beautiful, and she calls me Gorgeous.
I add sugah as a prefix to lots of people I like. I tend to nickname the people I adore.

I don't appreciate being called "dear" especially if it is a snide "yes dear". Pretty much all forms of dear are fucking annoying.

I only like "ma'am" in certain instances<grin>
