In my case I would say it was traffic signals going through town. Traffic signals and I tend to clash in both Barnstaple and Bideford.
They always turn red when I approach them, making my journey home feel the longest. I swear they turn red more than green in their
sequence, causing traffic jams outside of the usual rush hour. Does anyone else have this problem in their town or nearest towns?

Why is it that the last leg of home always feels the longest ?

For me, it's true simply because I'm usually driving back into the London suburbs from more rural parts where the traffic flows more easily. Similarly, on public transport, I'm switching from longer-haul trains to local trains and buses. I find it difficult to imagine what it must be like to live within a few minutes of a motorway or fast 'A' class road.

One of our neighbour's regularly fishes on the River Taw which is only a few hundred metres from where we live
No idea what fish he catches, but he needs a boat to fish in the more open area at Chivenor where he can keep
what he catches. The silly old git even fishes when the river is frozen over like it is now, most of the time.
He also thinks that his ascendants were pirates

What a lovely area to live in. The Taw is good for Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout. And it s a beautiful place to be even when not catching!

I'm always buying little nick-nacks throughout the year and these make up some of my Christmas parcels. Especially when it can be found very seasonally. I've found some fun and funky ladies socks that were out on a valentines showcase i've put them away for gifting
