i'm a frustrated student in nyc. i'm always seeing tempting ads in the personal's section of the village voice. is it worth it to answer any of these? part of me thinks i am crazy to even consider it, but at the same time . . . i need some good lovin and i need it now!!

It's not crazy to consider answering a personal ad. In the past I've responded to a number of personal ads and placed a couple in my hometown which is much smaller thay NYC by the way. None of them were a great experience, but none were awful either. Of course always protect yourself and take safe measures in meeting someone or divulging personal information. I think sometimes some people just luck out in meeting each other in this way and they are a couple who would have chemistry anyway even if they had met another way. Others even if you claim common interests, lifestyle, etc. say through the ad it still just doesn't strike a fancy once you meet. That's for me anyway. Let us know if you do inquire on any ads. thanks, i'm glad to hear there are some halfway sane ppl who answer personal ads! it's just that with class and work and all i have almost no time to meet anyone. i'm all about instant gratification. hmmm, maybe i should place a personal ad on this website . . .

Have used AOL personals online... met a couple of great men that way. Still seeing one of them to this day and he has been the BEST sex EVER!!
Just use common sense and be smart. Meet in public place YOU know where you have an escape route and people around. Also get all info before meeting and send to a friend. Then on day of meeting have a time set to call the friend to confirm you are OK. Just smarts... but there are alot of men out there having the same problem meeting women as we are having meeting men!!
