I was thinking about this well I was going to sleep. It's sorta my Dad's fault for my insecurity. Meaning, he has nicknmaes for everyone in the family. For me, one of my nick's was little dick, or, get this Marxist, Microscopic dick. So, when Estevie was saying that size doesn't matter, part of me says that's,true but, the other part of me says, it sure fucking does. I hate my Dad, sometimes. And, since I'm being very personal today, I'll probably be leaving Lit. for a few days, to get my shit together.

Funny how something that is suppose to be a joke can end up hurting so bad, isn't it? :(

I hope you feel better.

Can I ask you something, completely of topic, here. But, that Black Bird isn't the one from Lila McCann's video Down Came A BlackBird, is it? It just got into my physche,(sp?) that bigger is better, even if other's tell ya different.

Uh... I don't know. I found the pic on a website - shrunk it down - made an avi. *shrugs*

You may not of realized it, but, a certain word in that post completely turned me on.

:(

Unless your name is Dick, and your dad's name is also Dick, that is just cruel. What kind of a parent, especially a man who knows how a self-image can be tied to something like dick size, do that to a child?

Actually, my Dad's name is Rick. I call him Dick all the time.

P.S.

He never sid that to me when I was little. It started about the time I hit Puberty.

Outside chance here, Nasty, but any way at all that it could have really been a term of endearment for you? You calling your dad "Dick" is my only clue. I don't know what your name is, but it may still apply in theory.

I have a friend who loved the name Peter but hesitated naming her son since there was already a close relative with that name. She didn't want her child to get the nick name "Little Peter."

nasty, we all need time off occasionally to go do other things with our thoughts. There's no shame in it, of course, and i applaud you for seeing the need and going before you actually blow up.

Get out for a while.
Really out.
Don't just sub in another online place.

Here, the daffs and narcissus are blooming, and the irises are about ready. The grass is green and air is sweetly-scented. It's time to once again begin those morning walks with the dog.

Think. Play. Breathe. Relax.

Come back when you're ready.
We'll keep your place warm until then.
~hugs~

Actually, me calling him Dick started as a joke. Someone accidently signed a b-day card that way. So, you're right, it's a term of endearment. Still, there's something about little dick that makes me feel inadequate.

BTW

My RLN has nothing to do with Dick, or it's many nicks. And, cym. I think I already have calmed down a bit. It has nothing to do with my nickname, but, my blowing up for no reason.
