Things seem to have changed lately. I used to be crazy wet without much provocation. And now it seems that lube is much more necessary. I also feel like I get a yeast infection after every time. Me and my sometimes partner only get together about once a month, some times even 6-8 weeks between times. I have issues every time. He's not quite a Dom, but the sex can be very hard and he's one of those 1% who doesn't have the hormonal let down after orgasm and can stay hard and continue to cum over and over again. I'm wondering if it's perimenopause and if anyone has suggestions to help other than lube. Sometimes I am plenty lubed up naturally but a day or two later I'm sore and seem to have a yeast infection.

Thanks!

I don't know about perimenopause, but could the lube be contributing to yeast infections? Have yiu tried a different one?

Talk to your gyn about lubes with progesterone and/or estrogen. It's safer than taking HRT and will address the decrease in your own wetness.

First off, are you absolutely sure it's yeast? Has the doctor done a swab and confirmed it? It may be something else, like bacterial vaginosis. So first thing would be to make sure it's really yeast.

Did you know, men can carry yeast? Does he wear a condom? If not, then try using a condom the next couple of times. If he won't, then at the very least, wash his penis in warm water and soap first. See if that helps.

The other thing, if it's yeast, that I can suggest is try restricting sugar in your diet the week or before an expected encounter. Yeast feeds on sugar. This would include processed sugars as well as fruit sugars. May or may not help, but worth a shot.

As for lack of natural lubrication, really the only solution to this is adequate foreplay. It may be taking you a bit longer to get wet than it used to. We are always changing, perhaps because of hormones, or other mental/physical things too. I find that my arousal times can fluctuate over the course of the month, and that sometimes it just takes a bit longer.

I don't have a ton of lube suggestions. I know I have this one that is supposed to taste like Passionfruit, but that stuff seems to get sticky fast, and makes me itch. So my only thoughts there is to stay away from fruity, flavoured lube!;)

If I'm not wet enough, it is not necessarily an indication of how aroused I am, or how much foreplay we had. Sometimes your body just doesn't produce enough natural lubricant.
