Hmmm... So I've been thinking. There are five types of half zombie eye-styles.

1.) Siberian husky (Sabastian)

2.) Glass half full/glass half empty (Robert)

3.) Ring around the Rosie (Quint)

4.) Speckles

5.) Cat-eye

Do we want to make a specific trait for each of the eye types? Like they have a specific ability that's stronger than the rest of them? For example, Robert's telepathy was more in-tune and he had a much better handle on it much earlier than Sabastian.

Perhaps Quint's ability would be that he could be more pain-tolerant, or that his goop actually has healing properties in it.

One of the other traits could be more strength than a normal half-zombie, being able to produce pheromones (born-aliens have that weird pincer with aphrodisiac in it, so maybe it's derived from that), extremely good eyesight (cat eye?), or heightened speed.

We could also scrap this idea if it's too far-fetched though.

So I just thought of something. Damien might not know right away what happened to Cora after she gets kidnapped, so while Vin is recovering, let's say three days cause magical number, I'm thinking of on like the second day having Kuznet send Damien a recording of him torturing her, and then some captured recording of Vin talking to Cora right before she is taken, so Damien knows it was Vins fault that she got captured. Then cue Bowie protecting Vin, Vins sad admission a little later, and then them getting Sabastian back? Or are they getting Sabastian at the same time as Cora? I'm trying to keep track of the timeline XD

But I'm thinking since Sabastian didn't kill Vin when he flipped out, the general will try to get Damien to do it by cutting out certain pieces of the conversation Vin has with Cora, and twisting the lie to taunt Damien.

No, I actually like it! Hmm, I actually really like those. Does Sabastian have strength? I could see it fitting him because he's a little grouchy ball. I could totally see his being strength based off of anger lol.

I like the idea of Quint's being healing, that kinda is almost poetic in a way because they both went through such shit, yet they try to be better people. Maybe Quint could have healing and be a bit more pain tolerant? Or maybe the pain tolerant just comes from the shit he's already gone through, and that's more mental pain tolerance than anything.

So would speed be the speckled eyes, then?

No, at the time has Cora, Sabastian will already have been broken out in a stealth mission by Tommy and Robert. They would be at a camp several miles from the base, taking some time to prepare to go back and grab Quint and Sayuri.

So basically they'd all go to the base, Cora goes "missing," and Damien desperately searches for her in a miserable, escalating panic while unable to sleep or relax (much to Kuznet's pleasure). Perhaps Vin is found by Dave, and he takes him into his room above the bar and nurses him back to health.

Then, Kuznet leaves the tape for the sleep-deprived Damien which is the straw that breaks the camel's back and he stalks over to Dave's/Vin's room to murder him. (I'm thinking maybe somehow Dave lets slip that Vin's with him since he thinks Vin and Damien are friends). Bowie does a protec, and Damien cries and falls asleep outside Vin's door.

Perhaps Vin is well enough to get up, and he sees Damien and Bowie out there, and knows that Damien came for him. Perhaps Damien has the cassette in his hand and Vin takes it and plays it back and has his scene with Bowie.

Mm, I don't know about Vin playing the cassette. Well, maybe. His whole thing was supposed to be that he realizes, albeit too late, that he should have talked to his friends first before jumping to conclusions. He's going to feel extremely guilty because if he had only confronted Damien, man to man, or even asked Cora straight up, then he wouldn't have been led into a trap. They are supposed to be his friends, and yet he's going to feel as if he stabbed them in the back by not even being willing to talk to them, and now just lost Cora on top of losing Sabastian. So I'm not sure how well that would fit into listening to the tape, or maybe Damien comes in and plays the tape after he hears him talking to Bowie? Cause Vin won't break down in front of anyone, but the snake is like, easier cause it's their pet basically.

Maybe Quint's pain-tolerance is enhanced by being half-turned, having already been higher than normal. I mean, he chopped off his own fucking limb without passing out, and he was still able to have a conversation shortly after without screaming bloody murder.

Heheh, yeah. I like the idea of Sabastian being an extra strung boi. Like he could technically beat Quint in an arm-wrestling match, lift more, and fuck shit up more. Part of the reason I don't think Kuznet would want to switch him out for Cora is that he's about to have his spy witness Sabastian ripping up a redwood and just fucking chucking it. That is a super-useful person to have if you can twist them into obeying you.

I think cat-eye zombies should have pheromones to make people horny for them. Easier to manipulate them into helping them or diffusing situations.

Hmm... Okay. I'll buy that. Maybe after he wakes up and hears Vin, he comes in and lets himself be vulnerable with Vin as well.

No problem, you don't have to post if you're not feeling it. The best postas are cooked when one is hungry for delicious plots. A lot of moving parts are happening with the story too, so that adds to it, I think.

Also, I wanted to run this by you. After they get Cora back, I'm wondering if you would be down with them all being on the run for a little bit and Kuznet kidnapping Damien before they finally are able to actually kill Kuznet? Cause I think it would be pretty fucking hilarious for Kuznet to see just how many people come to save him, and how much shit he has brought down on his own head

Lol Oh Quint. I think that would be hilarious. A little revenge over Officer Limp Dick! He's definitely going to be showing feelings after that- feelings of rage.

So we're leaving Kuznet alive when we rescue Cora, and then Damien gets almost revenge-kidnapped. That could work. Oooh man. The things Kuznet would want to do to him, especially knowing that A: Cora really does love him, and B: Damien was able to steal Cora from his grasp just when he had her.

I'd love for Damien to see all the people coming for him too. I think that with Kuznet, part of him would be at peace even with the threat of death knowing that Cora is being protected by three half-zombies and a buttload of allies. Since she would be safe, he would feel like he could move die with no regrets.

You know, I think it's interesting the opposite nature of Kuznet and Damien.

While Kuznet is: You're nothing without me.
Damien is: I'm nothing without you.

They both selfishly want Cora, but Damien wants to be with her while Kuznet wants to own her.

Also, we totally have to do some kind of set-up where Kuznet and Damien can literally see everyone coming, maybe coming over a hill or over one of Kuznets security cameras. I think Kuznet might not kill Damien right on the spot only because he wants to keep him alive and torture him until he's satisfied.

Trumpets playing in the distance as the resistance charges his castle to rescue the Damienselle in distress. Yeah, I imagine that Kuznet would probably want him to renounce Cora and beg for Kuznet's forgiveness before killing him. Cue the water-torture.
