When I first visted the desert (I spent a month in Phoenix) I caught the abolute worst cold of my life. They told me it was "Valley Fever", which is something us Eastern types get when first exposed to the dusty, zero humidty desert valley. I was laid out for a week with horrible fever, body aches, coughing, sneezing and other nasty things.
