I was polite at first, but then I assumed we were being trolled as there seemed to be a tendency to continue to make short worded, poorly spelled, all caps posts in multiple threads - something that trolls tend to do.

If making a wrong assumption is rude, then I plead guilty. It seems SN is making an effort, but as I and somebody else pointed out, this is a written medium, and people need to make a real effort to communicate well to make it here.

Ok, this is the "dumb blonde" in me coming out. Why did people say something to you about typing in all lowercase. My keyboard ONLY has CAPS and lowercase. Caps is considered yelling and rude. Why is all lowercase bad too? Is it considered whispering? I picture sexy girl as a very soft spoken petite fun loving person. How can anyone yell at her?

Reading all lower case is somewhat harder than properly capitalized and punctuated prose, but not annoyingly so.

Trolls don't really care if you are nice to them - it doesn't annoy them. Trolls primarily want attention because they don't have real lives like ordinary humans. They secondly want to waste your time and annoy you - and yes you can be nice even though annoyed. Trolls can get as much satisfaction from people wasting their time being nice to the troll - I had a number of trolls do that to me with the intention of wasting my time so I wouldn't be posting in other threads (they didn't like my politics, but couldn't compete in a fair discussion of the issues, so they tried to distract me - for a while it worked).

FWIW, I no longer think Sexyness is a troll; trolls don't get their feelings hurt (being very thick skinned), and generally do not ask people not to be angry with them - nor do they follow people's advice about their posts (albeit slowly). Oh, and they don't go away so quickly - they tend to stick around until they have either throughly annoyed people, or until they are thoroughly ignored.

So, I admit I was wrong, although the sheer number of threads had me going there for a while.

Yup, I've requested that you consider proper punctuation in the past as I did for Sexy-Girl ( I was one of the ones that commented to her when she first joined.)

I take improper punctuation as a sign of being lazy, not a sign of being "individual and unique." I treat the posts from people who post like that accordingly. If posts are particularly bad with punctuation or capitalization, I just don't bother to read them at all.

You have a right to post any way you want. I have a right to read what I want and to skip the rest. That works out well.
