People who died in freak accidents?

I knew someone who was bitten in the thorax by a cobra while on his racing bike.

Apparently, it was toasting in the heat of the road, jumped, and struck his throat. He died quite quickly. If that's not "freak"enough, I don't know what is.

A friend of ours died when the hydraulics on his 2-tier car carrier failed while he was driving a car off the bottom level.
The top level, filled with cars, crashed down onto the bottom level - crushing him inside the car he was driving off.
The freaky bit? The weekend before, we were all at a bbq, and he was talking about the chances of just this thing happening.

There was a chap in our company several years ago who was promoted on Friday and blew his brains out in the woods behind his house that weekend.

Freakish? The timing, yes.

A promotion should be something to celebrate and not something to blow your brains out over.

I read a story about how a school bus was driving down a country road and conveniently stalled on some train tracks just a few minutes before a freight train came roaring through.

I've survived and watch others survive a bunch of crazy shit... but all the deaths I've seen were fairly predictable.
