They say he's alive, but wounded. They will not go into any more details.

I'm sure he has smoke inhalation problems if he's alive.

Actually, Spin, they said they think he is AT LEAST wonded, and that they don't know if he's alive.

I just typed what Fox News said while I ate lunch.

You must have had your mouth open and your ears shut. I'm watching Fox News too. You're being a bit too creative in your reporting.

I'm getting off this for awhile, I don't need the additional grief.

Misinformation--it's part of the strategerie. Make Saddam repeatedly 'address the nation'.

If he's alive, he's not in one piece. Not if he was in that bunker the other night.

Maybe a little for domestic consumption.

It's always good to ratchet up support before you scorch the earth/liberally bomb one of the world's 40largest metro areas.

The recent radio bits I've heard favor the Texan version, including an eyewitness account of Saddam leaving the site on a gurney with an oxygen mask on.

Here's an article on the topic.

Saddam was in bombed bunker

Could it have been a double? Saddam was pretty incognito during War for Oil 1.

Possible.

I'm sure that it's easy for an eyewitness to mistake a look-alike wearing an oxygen mask leaving the guy's home.

I think the Pentagon finds the ambulance radio transmissions
convincing.

Plus, they have additional information from whoever squealed on him.
