district justices are commonly retarded in PA. in most counties except i think 5 they replaced the grand jury for determining probable cause for misdemeanors and felonies to be forwarded to the court of common pleas.

they are elected officials without law degrees. once elected they take a course. most are idiots.

they are used for summary arrest, traffic tickets and civil complaints less than 10000 dollars

in the eyes of the law the case has nothing to do with religion. it is a simple case of harassment and disorderly conduct.

if the judge tossed the case on grounds of religion he is wrong and district justices in Pa cannot render constitutional opinions. more than likely a complaint will be filed with the president judge of the county who is the senior common pleas judge of the county who will forward it to (there is a committee but forget the name) who will investigate.

more than likely there was no representation from the DA's office as in a these cases the police officer represents the state. The DA's office can appeal the district justices decision with the court of common pleas.
