If used improperly I can see how they could be.

I have limited experience. While your penis is actually in the tube, you can get an instant erection. It doesn't last once removed. Your level of arousal is probably a factor. If by "work" you mean "increase the length and girth of your penis" then I would say highly unlikely but I didn't use it for very long. Safe? You are placing your penis in a tube and applying a vacuum to it. Duration and power of said vacuum could potentially cause problems. I'm not a doctor.

I have a medically prescribed battery operated pump because i suffer (word not used lightly) from ED due to circulatory issues from 49 years of Diabetes.
