As a dude I thought I'd go ahead and ignore my comfort zone and tell you that mine does the same thing, but it curves up.

I was VERY self-conscious about it through high school but when I got with my first sexual girlfriend she was enamored with it's shape and said that it actually helped stimulate her. Dude, no, that's an urban legend. When the penis is stimulated to erection it causes blood flow which makes the penis "hard" and rigid. If anything, wanking would only 'excersize' the member to become more straight and less bent. It's just is what it is.

Not sure why it came up in med school - but a lot of penis curvature is brought on by masturbation, especially those individuals who use one hand more often. The next time you do it - check out which side of your penis gets the most friction or pressure, and also check out the direction you tug.
