I just read on a Swedish website that there's a Swedish artist who's having a photo exhibition, where all the photos show naked men and particularly their dicks/testicles. Click here to see her work.

In an additional poll, Swedish women were asked if they wanted to see penises as art. 85% said yes, and 21% of these wanted the art to be pornographic.

What say you, Literoticans? Would you like to see naked men and their penises and testicles in an art exhibition?

I don't find it particulary erotic. I love pictures of men's faces,chest,butts!!!! and even there legs, but a picture of there penis and balls makes me chuckle or even want to look away.

As I clicked through them i always found myself looking more at the women. For someone reason I found there poses funny, it is odd isn't it, that I can see a girl in the same pose and not think anything of it, but for men it just looks unnatural and forced...probably a cultural thing.

Well why not have penises in artwork? I think anything can be art and although i don't find the male genetalia the most beautiful thing in the world i reckon they deserve a bit of the limelight!
Art is such an individual thing though. Everyone's idea of beautiful is different. I am a butt woman myself when it comes to seeing naked bits of men but each to their own i guess!

And no, it's not erect (though it's looking mildly interested). I could draw 'em all day long, in any state. ;-) This drawing was based on several photographs, but my husband kindly modeled for the penis.

Why do so many men think their personal parts look ugly or awkward? Is it just that Western art conventions are much more focused on the female nude? Probably. So I try to do my bit to tweak the conventions!

Since I'm male, I don't think it's fair for me to vote, but I'd like to point something out. Personally, and I think it's true of most men, the vagina isn't particularly attractive, or artistic, in any event. Basically, it's a sexual organ, not a sexy one. Vagina's are the fat chick you hang out with at the bar. Not much to look at, but all kinds of fun...

The same, I always assumed, would be true for the penis. The term bumping uglies comes from somewhere, afterall. But I can't say for certain; assume is all. It must be different from the female perspective, as it seems the penis pretty much sums up our sexual identity to women, whereas so many other things besides the vagina define women's sexual identity to us.

From my perspective, the penis is the last thing I actually get to see with a guy. I see so many other things about a man that define his sexual identity to me, long before we get to the part about bumping uglies.

I think what you refer to with how men see women's sexual identity is really the same for women. Just as a man might admire a woman's breasts, I admire a man with a strong chest. Just as a guy admires a cute ass ... I admire a cute ass on a guy. A guy with strong sexy legs probably turns me on just as much as a guy gets with looking at long sexy legs on a chick.

And it is more than just physical too. But I think its more than just physical that men notice with women as well.
