Hi everybody! :)

I've been posting here for a little while, but I wanted to make some new friends here and get to know people better, so I decided to do a thread of my own. Ask me a question, say hello, tell me a joke, anything's cool. :)

Come on in to the library, grab some coffee (please clean up after yourself ;)), find a good book and sit down. :) No need to be quiet; be as loud as you want. If you want to take a book home, go ahead. This library works on the honor system. :D

:: wanders in, trails a finger along the spine of several books to see what's there ::

Hey

Libraries and bookstores are dangerous places for me...I'm a voracious reader.

I think I'll pour myself a nice Irish whiskey and ensconce myself in a corner chair with a couple of my books.

I'm the same way. I recently found out about a huge annual book fair about to be held here, and I got excited. :p

"Ensconce." There's a word people don't use enough anymore. ;)

I spent an hour in a bargain bookstore this weekend and though I didn't buy a book I enjoyed myself immensely. Of course, the company I kept helped immeasurably.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I went to Borders last week. But they had the book I needed (I'm reading a long alt history series) and I got a huge discount on it. :D

Despite current economic conditions, over the last couple of weeks I broke down and bought three books at half.com for .75 each. And they were like new condition editions, so I'm pretty content with that.

A library with coffee and tea and lots of books and big comfy chairs? Throw in a fireplace and something fun like a giant slide exit and it's like my own little version of Field of Dreams. :)

I'm surprised I didn't think of the fireplace. Consider it added! :D

Well, while you're at it, I'd like a chair-and-a-half.

Thank you Ms. Intrigue for the decorating motivation.

*Goes to furniture store, buys Natty's chair, and installs it near the fireplace.* :)

What else needs to go in here?

Stripper pole? Pool table?

Oh wait.. I forgot, it's a library...
:D

* wanders among the bookshelves grabbing random things I have yet to read off the shelf. Starts making piles of books for people I know, things I think they would like.

Wait, you said I didn't have to be QUIET in this library?
WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can have a good time here!

Hi Penforprez

How did you come up with your name?
Oh and do you honk your horn on the road?

-enters quietly, placing my bag on a table in the back before heading for the poetry section-

hmmmmmmmmmm

Now Im in the middle of Mills and Paine so I think a relaxing afternoon with Jonathan Swift is just what I need---

A nice hot apple cider to go with it would be good too. . . .

-after purchasing a chai latte, sits down reading the first of three selections-

Hi everyone! :) I've been gone for awhile; been busy and life has been kinda weird. I'm hoping to post more soon.

Hi Penforprez

Oh and do you honk your horn on the road?

P.E.N. are my initials and I've always been interested in politics (Prez being short for President).

I can't honk my horn--I had to have the fuse to the horn removed because the horn would go off sort of randomly and not stop.

Of course there's a stripper pole. :D Just no music to go with it. :p Do you want to do a show? I'm in need of some *adult entertainment*. ;)
