My first story has been pending over two weeks, why?

Very frusrating for a new writer as nowhere comes info when it will be published.

Possibly because you're a new writer, so your story (once it's passed a bunch of word bots looking for AI derived or influenced content and a number of other screening bits and pieces) goes before a pair of human eyes to ensure content compliance.

Unfortunately, there's also a pending bug of some sort, which leads into a black hole.

At this point, after two weeks, a polite PM to Laurel, providing the link to your submitted version, might break it loose, or you'll get a rejection.

I did DM, I have written to the support. Nothing has happen. Now I tried to change title a little as there exists a story on the same name and republish.

I'm afraid that just starts you right from the beginning all over again.

It doesn't matter if there's the same title already, the site gives each story a separate url. But every time you touch a story whilst it's pending, you restart the clock - and I don't know what multiple drafts might do to the conveyor belt.

The best thing to do, I think, is to leave the story alone, but send its url to Laurel in a PM. Contacting via support or email goes nowhere.

If you used translation software to convert your story into English, there's a strong possibility that it is being held as suspected AI-generated text. The two types of programs share many similarities, so they create output that can be very difficult to distinguish. There have been a number of people who reported similar issues getting a machine-translated story published.

I think that I ran to the back end bug. I notice date change but my story never got published.

The only workaround for the pending purgatory bug (which is not considered a bug by the site owners) that works almost always, is a second account on lit (diff email address). This way you have a fresh slate on the database. The downside - published work does not transfer to your new account. Poor workaround - hyperlink to your first account. No guarantee that second account won't be infected by same pending purgatory bug, if that happens get a third new account. Repeat as needed or until you get tired of this crap.

My opinion, YMMV

Not as easy as it used to be. Multiple email addresses on gmail are a pain (esp. if you let Google Account Manager get in the way, which has become progressively more difficult to avoid.) And Yahoo apparently blocks any mail from literotica.com at the domain level (it doesn't even make it to the spam folder.) Sigh.
