Pending time

Thanks for the swift reply.
New authors may take longer, because they're new and their content will be looked at more closely. Once you become more familiar to Laurel it speeds up - I too, like Nada, typically see 1 - 3 days, depending on the length of the story. If you push the various content threshold lines, or continue to do so, it's likely to take longer.

There are several factors that affect timing.

How long you've been posting
The longer you post, Laurel gets to know you and won't check it over as much

Have you pushed Laurel's boundaries in the past
Some writers get close to the limits laurel places, so she looks them over more

Quantity of stories in the queue
The more stories there are the longer it rakes

How you submit (paste vs submit file)
Submitting via docx or rtf takes longer

Special requests...
Formatting takes longer than pasted text.

Generally, my stories post within 2-3 days. The longest wait I ever saw was 7 days. The fastest was approved the same day I submitted it.

Okay. I am still new to this place and the terms "content threshold" and Laurel's "boundaries" are unfamiliar to me. These are obvious rules & restrictions concerning submitting texts. Where can I look them up?
