Pence: Pot, meet Kettle
It's a travesty! A travesty I tell you! An organization doesn't want to jeopardize its money making venture so it does what it must to not upset the apple cart.
That, at least, is the argument Mike Pence has put forth regarding the NBA and China.
Tell us, Mike Pence, if the "progressive" corporate culture willfully ignores the abuse of human rights is not progressive, but regressive, what does it say about the con artist, and you I might add, who have not said one word about the repressive regime of China restricting the freedom and rights of the Uighurs? You know, the people China is rounding up and putting in "re-education" camps? Whose homes and places of worship are being destroyed, including an 800 year old mosque?

Or is it only when your religion is attacked that suddenly you find your voice? Apparently speaking up for others who may be oppressed isn't part of your religious teachings.
It should also be noted the con artist has refused to say a single bad word about Russia, and in fact has gone out of his way to accommodate, congratulate, and apologize for Russia, even going so far as to give classified information to the Russian ambassador. Let us not forget when the con artist whined it was so unfair he had to sign a bill putting sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and its oppression of the Tatar people in occupied Crimea. Are we to presume the con artist is part of the "progressive" culture which willfully ignores the abuse of human rights and freedoms of that authoritarian regime?

"Some of the NBA's biggest players and owners who routinely exercise their freedom to criticize this country lose their voices when it comes to the freedom and rights of the people of China," Pence said. "It's siding with the Chinese Communist Party and silencing free speech."
"The NBA is acting like a wholly owned subsidiary of that authoritarian regime," he added. "A progressive corporate culture that willfully ignores the abuse of human rights is not progressive, it is repressive."
